Sudan, Egypt sign joint military cooperation agreement

Khartoum (UNA-OIC) – The Sudanese-Egyptian military talks concluded in Khartoum on Thursday with the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for joint cooperation.

The MoU was signed by Chief of Staff of the Sudanese Armed Forces Lt. Gen. Mohammed Osman Al-Hussein, and Chief of Staff of Egypt’s Armed Forces ​Lt. Gen. Mohammed Farid Hegazy.

In a news brief, Al-Hussein commended the remarkable development in relations between the two armies and thanked the Egyptian Armed Forces for their great support and cooperation.

For his part, Hegazy asserted the depth of relations, between Egypt and Sudan, indicating that his visit to Khartoum came within the framework of following up and reviewing what was agreed upon.

It is worth noting that the Egyptian Chief of Staff stopped in Khartoum on his way back from the Democratic Republic of Congo and he resumed his trip to Cairo immediately after signing the agreement.
