Permits for Praying in Grand Mosque are canceled

MAKKAH (UNA-OIC) – The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has announced that permits for the prophet’s visit and praying in the Grand Mosque are canceled. The ministry stated that this comes according to the concerned authorities’ feedback, and given the progress in immunizing the community and bringing down the number of COVID-19 cases. The Grand Mosque is now open without permits, just like the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah.

The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah affirmed that permits for performing Umrah and praying in the Noble Rawdah are still required via Eatmarna or Tawakkalna to lessen the crowd and provide a smooth journey.
