WDO organizes a webinar on family-oriented policies and women’s empowerment

Cairo (UNA-OIC) – In celebration of the International Day of Families, the Women Development Organization (WDO) organizes next Wednesday a high-level webinar on “the role of family-oriented policies in empowering women and girls within the family”.

The webinar will be held in the presence of the president of the National Council for Women in Egypt, Dr. Maya Morsy, and with the participation of the ministers of women’s affairs in the member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) as well as the heads of OIC specialized and subsidiary organs.

During the webinar, member states will highlight and share their experiences and constant efforts to develop family-oriented policies and programs.

The webinar will also discuss the urgent need to adopt supportive response strategies that are based on women and families, especially in the post-pandemic world.

It is worth noting that the WDO is an intergovernmental organization and one of the specialized institutions of OIC focused on conducting major steps for women’s development.
