Tunis (UNA-OIC) – Tunisia is ranked via its Startup Act, 23rd out of about 30 countries at the forefront of digital and 1st in Africa and Middle East region, according to the Startups Without Borders, which has published its Startup Visa Programs Attractiveness index.
The Ministry of Communication Technologies, said on its social media page, that once again, the “Startup Act is showing its visibility internationally and this after winning the award for the best program in the category “suitable business climate” at the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) forum of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU).
“These results are the result of Tunisia’s commitment and the role of the Startup Act in promoting innovative entrepreneurship, thus fostering a better connection with the national and international entrepreneurial ecosystem”.
Until September 2020, 338 startups have been labelled under the Startup Tunisia program.
The Startups Without Borders company specializes in events. It connects the most ambitious refugee and migrant entrepreneurs with resources to develop their business.
