Mogadishu (UNA-OIC) – Somali National Army (SNA) killed five Al-Shabaab militants after the terrorist group attempted Sunday to attack the army base outside Hudur town in the Bakool region.
The SNA Commander in the area, Ali Ibrahim Isak, told Somali National News Agency (SONNA) that the forces thwarted terrorists’ attempt to attack the army base near the town at midnight.
“We killed five terrorist members and wounded 6 others who tried to attack our base outside Hudur town in Bakool region overnight, we’re now displaying two of their dead bodies to the media and public to see. I thank our heroes who prevented them from reaching their intent,” Mr. Isak said.
In the Lower Shabelle region, military officials said that several Al-Shabaab militants were killed and pushed back swiftly after an attempted attack at the airport of Barawe town last night.
