Riyadh (UNA-OIC) – The Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) has announced its approval for including those aged 5-11 years old to receive the Pfizer BioNTech (BNT162b2) COVID-19 vaccine in Saudi Arabia, after the company had applied to be accredited by the authority.
The SFDA’s decision is based on data that the company presented and showed that the vaccine has met all regulatory requirements, where clinical studies and scientific reports showed that the vaccine is safe for this age category.
