Jeddah (UNA-OIC) – Permanent Representative of Saudi Arabia to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Dr. Saleh bin Hamad Al-Suhaibani met with the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Iraq to the OIC, Consul General in Jeddah Kanaan Adnan Abdul Rahim.
During the meeting at the Saudi Foreign Ministry Branch in Makkah, the two parties discussed ways to develop means of cooperation and coordination between Iraq and Saudi Arabia in issues of common interest to the OIC. They also reviewed coordination mechanisms and exchanged views on various related fields.
The meeting also touched on the efforts of the member states as well as the permanent representatives of the OIC in facing challenges and strengthening the role that they play in this direction.
Abdul Rahim stressed the importance of continuing to strengthen aspects of cooperation and coordination between the two permanent missions to serve common interests in various domains, especially those related to the OIC and its multiple organs. He praised Saudi Arabia’s efforts and its tireless quest to serve the Organization and achieve its lofty mission.
