Jeddah (UNA-OIC0 – The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) strongly condemned the attack perpetrated by gunmen on a military post in Côte d’Ivoire.
OIC Secretary-General Dr. Yousef bin Ahmed Al-Othaimeen conveyed deep condolences to the families of the fallen soldiers as well as to the government and people of Côte d’Ivoire. He also wished the wounded a speedy recovery.
While recalling the principled position of the OIC against extremism and terrorism, the Secretary-General reiterated the Organization’s solidarity with the Ivorian government in its efforts to combat violent extremism and terrorism.
