Bishkek, (UNA-OIC) – A textile factory is being built in the Kyrgyzstani city of Osh, which will provide jobs for up to 7 thousand people.
President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sooronbay Jeenbekov made an official visit to the construction site on Wednesday, according to Kabar.
The enterprise’s planned annual capacity is 10 million pieces of various clothing, 1.5 thousand tons of wool, and 4.5 million meters of fabrics.
The factory is the first textile factory under construction in Osh Region since the country’s independence.
President Jeenbekov expressed his satisfaction with the scale of the future enterprise.
He emphasized that the brand “Made in Kyrgyzstan” can be successfully consolidated among environmentally-friendly agricultural products and light industry products.
