Algiers (UNA-OIC) – Algeria provided humanitarian assistance to the people of Niger, in the wake of the recent floods that hit many regions of the West African nation, causing considerable human and material losses.
“The High Command of the People’s National Army (ANP) on Monday sent two military aircraft loaded with humanitarian aid to the people of Niger following the recent floods that affected several regions in the country,” Algeria’s National Defense Ministry announced in a statement on Monday.
The two aircraft, which took off from Boufarik Air Base – around 35 kilometers south of the capital Algiers, will be followed by another shipment of humanitarian aid to Niger on Tuesday.
