Cairo (UNA-OIC) – During the High-Level Forum on Food Security from 08th -09th of June 2022 in Almaty, Kazakhstan, the WDO moderated a Session on “Women and Food Security” during which her Excellency, Ambassador NAELA GABR, Expert of the Committee for the Elimination of all forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW), and Chair of the OIC Advisory Committee on Women, spoke on Food Security from a Human Rights Perspective.
In her presentation she dwelled specifically on the CEDAW General Recommendation on Rural Women.
