Virtual symposium highlights Saudi efforts in serving pilgrims during COVID-19 pandemic

Makkah (UNA-OIC) – The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Grand Holy Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque held on Tuesday a virtual symposium on “The Efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Serving Pilgrims, Visitors of Two Holy Mosques during COVID-19 Pandemic”.
At the outset of the symposium, Governor of Madinah Region Prince Faisal bin Salman extended his thanks and appreciation to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman for his approval to hold this symposium to highlight Saudi Arabia’s efforts in serving visitors of the Two Holy Mosques and Hajj pilgrims during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The governor affirmed that the Kingdom was keen that this year’s Hajj be held in an organized environment, and with a limited number of pilgrims to ensure human safety and performance of rituals in a conducive atmosphere, in light of the risks arising from the continuation of the pandemic spread and the emergence of new virus variants across the world.
