As of July 1, 2020, Uzbekistan exported 31.3 thousand tons of cherries, which is 14.6 thousand tons more compared to the same period last year. This has been reported by the State Statistics Committee.
Selected cherries worth almost $61 million were sold in the markets of 18 countries. Thus, the highest share of the fruit was exported to Kazakhstan – 16.7 thousand tons ($23 million), Russia – 9.3 thousand tons ($15.8 million), Kyrgyzstan – 4.7 thousand tons ($20 million) and South Korea – 124.3 tons ($496.9 thousand).
This year the Uzbek cherry was exported to Germany, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Mongolia, Oman and Thailand.
