UNICEF thanks Saudi Arabia for its humanitarian role toward Yemen's children

Riyadh (UNA-OIC) – Executive Director of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) Henrietta Fore expressed her gratitude to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the generous support that it announced through implementing seven diverse projects at a cost of $46 million for Yemen.

In a letter sent to King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief), Ms. Fore expressed her thanks and appreciation to Saudi Arabia, represented by KSRelief, for the announcement of this generous support to carry out these projects for Yemen, within the framework of the United Nations 2020 Humanitarian Response Plan for Yemen.

The support will help the UNICEF to provide support to the children and their families, in the fields of health, nutrition, water and sanitation, education and protection, as well as to combat the coronavirus pandemic in Yemen, by training health personnel and providing medical and other supplies, she said.
