Khartoum (UNA-OIC) – The United Nations will host Thursday evening a day of solidarity with Sudan, organized and sponsored by Norway and the UN Secretary-General, under the theme “Supporting the civil democratic transition in Sudan.”
The opening session will be addressed by Sudanese Prime Minister Dr. Abdalla Hamdok, UN Secretary-General António Guterres, and Norway Minister of Foreign Affairs Ine Eriksen.
The high-level event, which will be addressed by a large number of envoys and representatives of world countries, aims to confirm the international community’s support for the democratic civil transition process and solidarity with the Sudanese people.
