KABUL (UNA-OIC) – H.E Ambassador Tariq Ali Bakheet, Special Envoy of the OIC Secretary General, arrived Sunday March 6th 2022 to the Afghan capital Kabul where he had talks, upon arrival, with H.E Amir Khan Motaqi, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the de facto authorities in Afghanistan. The meeting was attended by Dr. Mohamed Alayach, head of the OIC ofiice in Kabul.
The meeting discussed the efforts made by OIC to follow up the implementation of the resolution issued by the extraordinary session of the Council of Foreign Ministers held in December 2021 in Islamabad.
During his visit to Kabul, the Special Envoy will have a number of meetings with the Afghan de facto authorities, the Ambassadors of Member States’s accredited to Afghanistan and with International Organisations.
