Jeddah (UNA-OIC) – Today the Saudi Tourism Development Fund launched the “Tourism Investment Portal”, which aims to enable investors, entrepreneurs and tourism companies to have direct access to all the solutions and services provided by the Fund within the government tourism ecosystem.

This announcement reinforces the Fund’s commitment to stimulate and support tourism investment by providing more opportunities to help the growth and expansion of tourism companies, as well as to support the ambitions and goals of the tourism sector.

The CEO of the Tourism Development Fund, Qusai Al-Fakhri, said: “This achievement represents a milestone in TDF’s journey. The portal represents a window of opportunity for our partners and investors to benefit from our services provided, including services for micro-enterprises, small, medium and large companies, and potential investors. The portal aims to be a one-stop solution to stimulate investments and elevate quality levels in KSA’s promising tourism sector. The Tourism Investment Portal is a reflection of the contributions of TDF as an enabler for investors, providing integrated financing solutions that increase investment feasibility and reduce risks, in addition to providing advice and service that enhance investors’ experience.”

Launching the Tourism Investment Portal comes in line with the digital transformation that the Kingdom is currently witnessing, which is one of the main enablers to achieve the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, as it is a key driver of economic transformation. The portal provides a comprehensive digital financing journey for investors, to enable them to directly access all TDF services and investment opportunities in the tourism sector in the Kingdom. Additionally, it contributes to the objectives of the National Tourism Strategy.

The portal will facilitate financing requests by providing the investors with proper financing solutions across all projects as it enables them to register their company automatically without the need to fill in data. The Fund provides financial and advisory support to companies and entrepreneurs, but also plays a strategic role in highlighting investment opportunities within the target destinations identified by the national strategy. The Fund can connect investors with global project developers and operators. To reinforce the Kingdom’s position as a world-class tourist destination, the portal is targeting all investors wishing to invest in the following fields: tourist destinations and attractions, hotels and accommodation, restaurants and cafes within tourist destinations, shopping, travel and tourism services, and tourist activities and attractions.

TDF invited entities and investors in the tourism sector to visit the digital portal to benefit from its distinguished services, as it enables them to submit requests for financing and investment in tourism opportunities available through simple steps, to stimulate local and foreign investments in the growing tourism sector, which is one of the most important pillars of the KSA’s economy.

Small and medium companies in the tourism sector play a significant role in strengthening the national economy and driving forward economic development, as they are the main pillar of the tourism development in the Kingdom. SMEs will bring a bright future for the tourism in the coming years with a positive impact on the tourist experience in the Kingdom.

Several of the entities participating in the Tourism Investment Portal contributed to a number of pivotal and digital logistical roles that helped to provide fast and flexible services to the portal’s visitors. One of the most prominent entities is the Digital Government Authority, which provides connections with other organizations. National Single Sign-On platform on the National Information Center at the Saudi Authority for Data and Artificial Intelligence (SDAIA) offers hosting services and technical support, as well as providing unified verification services for logging into the platform. The Ministry of Commerce also plays a pivotal role by providing the required digital data related to companies and institutions, and the Zakat Tax and Customs Authority by providing the required digital data related to zakat and tax.
