Saudi foreign minister meets Pakistan Army chief

Islamabad (UNA-OIC) – Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah met here on Tuesday with Pakistani Army Chief of Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa.

During the meeting, which was held on the sidelines of the foreign minister’s visit to Islamabad, the two sides reviewed the bilateral Saudi-Pakistani relations and ways to enhance joint cooperation to preserve security and stability in the region. They also discussed issues of mutual concern.

Earlier on Tuesday, Prince Faisal bin Farhan met with Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan, who congratulated the Saudi leaders on the success of this year’s Hajj season, and their ability to maintain an environment free from the spread of COVID-19 and other epidemic diseases.

This is the second state visit by Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan to Pakistan in a year. His previous visit to Islamabad took place in December 2020.
