Riyadh (UNA-OIC) – Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that the Kingdom has decided to send urgent humanitarian aid to Lebanon, through the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief), after Beirut massive explosion on Tuesday.
The ministry said in a statement published Thursday by Saudi Press Agency (SPA) that this humanitarian aid, to be provided under the directives of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman, comes in solidarity with the Lebanese people in facing the consequences of the blast in the port area of Beirut.
The initiative also comes out of the Kingdom’s keenness to stand by the brotherly people of Lebanon and provide them with assistance following the painful disaster, added the statement.
