Riyadh (UNA-OIC) – The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on Tuesday condemned the cartoons offending Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and affirmed its rejection of any attempt to associate Islam with terrorism.
An official source at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement that the Kingdom rejects any attempt to link Islam to terrorism, and condemns the offensive cartoons of Islam’s Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, or any of the messengers, peace be upon them, and condemns every terrorist act, whoever commits it.
Saudi Press Agency (SPA) quoted the same source as saying that “the Kingdom calls for intellectual and cultural freedom to be a beacon of respect, tolerance and peace, and rejects all practices and acts that generate hatred, violence and extremism, and violate the values of coexistence and mutual respect among the peoples of the world.”
