RAS ready to cooperate with Uzbekistan on the digitization of rare manuscripts

LONDON (UNA-OIC) – Uzbekistan diplomats met with the Vice-President of the UK Royal Asiatic Society (RAS) Barbara Brend.

The parties exchanged views on the development of cooperation between research institutes and relevant state organizations of Uzbekistan with RAS through the implementation of joint projects.

An exposition of individual manuscripts of the 11th-16th centuries related to the history of Uzbekistan was organized for diplomats.

As promising areas of interaction, the British side noted the provision of Uzbekistan experts with access to the society’s collections of manuscripts for scientific research, the digitization of manuscripts of interest to research centers in Uzbekistan, online workshops and other joint work.
