Ramallah (UNA-OIC) – Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas received on Sunday the Director of the Egyptian General Intelligence, Minister Abbas Kamel, at the Presidential Headquarters in Ramallah, where they discussed the latest developments concerning the ceasefire in Gaza.
The two parties discussed stabilizing the ceasefire in Gaza, the reconstruction of the enclave, the intra-Palestinian reconciliation file, and the political process which is the key to stability and peace in the region.
President Abbas expressed his appreciation for the role and efforts of Egypt and its support of the Palestinian people and their just cause.
The meeting was attended by Chairman of the General Authority for Civil Affairs Minister Hussein Al-Sheikh and Head of the General Intelligence Service Maj. Gen. Majed Faraj.
