Pakistan renews support for efforts to achieve peace in Afghanistan

Islamabad (UNA-OIC) – Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi held a phone call with his Afghan counterpart, Mohammad Haneef Atmar.

During the telephone conversation, the two sides discussed ways to develop bilateral Afghan-Pakistani relations, and the ongoing peace process in Afghanistan, Associated Press of Pakistan (APP) reported.

Qureshi referred to his country’s desire for Afghanistan to enjoy stability, peace and prosperity, stressing the need for intra-Afghan dialogue to achieve lasting peace. He assured that Pakistan will continue to make sincere efforts to promote stability and peace in the region, including Afghanistan.
