Islamabad (UNA-OIC) – Pakistani Foreign Secretary Sohail Mahmood on Tuesday expressed his country’s steadfast support for the Afghan peace and reconciliation process.
Mahmood made the remarks during a farewell call on him by the outgoing Ambassador of Afghanistan Atif Mashal at the Foreign Ministry headquarters in Islamabad.
The foreign secretary said Pakistan was committed to enhancing bilateral cooperation with fraternal Afghanistan.
In a tweet during the farewell meeting, Ambassador Mashal expressed gratitude to the foreign secretary for the strong support and active cooperation extended to him during his diplomatic mission in Islamabad.
“We deliberated on the latest developments in the Afghan peace process and the need for further strengthening bilateral ties between the two countries,” he said
