Jeddah (UNA-OIC) – The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) said that it had followed what was reported in the media about Algeria’s announcement of severing diplomatic relations with Morocco.
The General Secretariat called for giving priority to the higher interests of the two brotherly countries and the principle of good neighborliness, especially that the two countries share a history and common interests, and they are active members of the OIC and influential in joint Islamic action.
The OIC General Secretariat also urged the two countries to embrace dialogue in the resolution of any differences in viewpoints that may arise.
