Jeddah (UNA-OIC) – Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Hissein Brahim Taha is set to start Tuesday a three-day working visit to Egypt, during which he will meet with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
Taha is expected to discuss bilateral relations with President Sisi and brief him about the programs and functioning of the OIC since assuming office as Secretary-General last November.
The Secretary-General and his accompanying delegation will also meet with Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry and Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit, ahead of their participation in the opening of the meeting of the Islamic Advisory Group for Polio Eradication (IAG) on Wednesday. The IAG meeting will be chaired by Grand Imam of Al-Azhar Sheikh Ahmed Mohamed El-Tayeb.
