Jeddah (UNA-OIC) – Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Hissein Brahim Taha on Monday, November 22, received Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of the Netherlands Thijs van der Plas.
During the meeting at the General Secretariat headquarters in Jeddah, the two sides reviewed international issues of common interest. They also discussed ways to boost cooperation between the OIC and the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
The Secretary-General applauded the role of the Netherlands in the international arena, particularly its support for development efforts in OIC member states.
For his part, the Dutch deputy foreign minister praised the OIC’s efforts as an international organization playing an important role in promoting security and peace in many regions of the world.
