Jeddah (UNA-OIC) – Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Dr. Yousef bin Ahmed Al-Othaimeen conveyed his condolences to the Palestinian leadership on the loss of Saeb Erekat, who died on 10 November from complications of COVID-19.
Al-Othaimeen sent a cable of condolences and sympathy to President Mahmoud Abbas and Foreign Minister Dr. Riyad Al-Maliki on the death of Saeb Erekat, Secretary of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO).
The OIC Secretary General praised the efforts of the late Saeb Erekat and his role in defending the just Palestinian cause in order to restore the inalienable national rights of the Palestinian people.
