OIC Secretary General Dr. Yousef Al-Othaimeen
Jeddah (UNA-OIC) – Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Dr. Yousef bin Ahmed Al-Othaimeen strongly condemned the terrorist attack on Erbil International Airport in the Iraqi Kurdistan Region.
The Secretary-General stressed that such a terrorist attack threatens the stability of Iraq and the region and undermines international counter-terrorism efforts.
Al-Othaimeen affirmed the OIC’s support for and solidarity with the Republic of Iraq in all the measures it would take to protect its security. He also reiterated the firm position of the OIC rejecting all forms of violence and terrorism, whatever their causes and motives.
