Jeddah (UNA-OIC) – The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) condemned Thursday’s terrorist attack on a village in northern Iraq’s Makhmour district, which resulted in the death and injury of a number of civilians and security personnel.
OIC Secretary-General Hissein Brahim Taha offered his heartfelt condolences and sympathy to the families of the victims as well as to the government and people of Iraq, wishing a speedy recovery to the wounded.
The General Secretariat reiterated the OIC’s firm position that condemns terrorism in all its forms and manifestations. It also reaffirmed the support of the Organization for the Republic of Iraq in its efforts to combat terrorism and violent extremism.
