Jeddah (UNA-OIC) – Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Hissein Brahim Taha received here on Monday Ambassador of Bangladesh to Saudi Arabia and Permanent Representative to the OIC Mohammed Javed Patwary.
During the meeting at the General Secretariat, the Secretary-General praised Bangladesh for its active support for joint Islamic action. He particularly applauded Bangladesh for its humanitarian assistance for over a million Rohingya Muslims who found refuge in the South Asian country.
Both sides also highlighted the importance of the OIC-Bangladesh relations and discussed ways to further strengthen them.
