Libyan High Council of State supports dialogue sessions in Morocco and Switzerland

Tripoli (UNA-OIC) – Libya’s High Council of State (HCS) discussed the developments of the political dialogue in its 55th official session held in the capital Tripoli on Sunday in the presence of 85 members.

The HCS Information Office said in a statement seen by the Libyan News Agency (LANA) that it was agreed during the meeting to support the dialogue sessions held in Morocco and Switzerland through three tracks. Firstly, the constitutional track, through the referendum on the draft constitution; secondly, the amendment to the executive authority through reshuffling the Presidential Council to include a president, two vice presidents, and a prime minister separate from the Presidential Council; and thirdly, through activating Article 15 of the Libyan Political Agreement regarding the agreement between the Council of State and House of Representatives on renaming holders of sovereign positions.

It was also agreed to broaden the discussion on these tracks through holding meetings with all the elected bodies in the country.
