Kuwait (UNA-OIC) – Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah left the country early Thursday for the United States to complete medical treatment, following his recent successful surgery.
Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) quoted the Amiri Diwan as saying that Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber had undergone a successful surgery in a hospital in Kuwait last Sunday.
According to a statement from the Emir’s office, the 91-year-old leader left Kuwait for the US on the advice of the medical team treating him, in order to complete his treatment.
