Leaders of both countries are determined to push to a new height the bilateral relations in all areas, he said, noting that the relations can be traced back to 122 years ago.

Regarding his talks with Minister Truss, Sheikh Dr. Ahmad said they explored ways for cementing exemplary relations particularly in the fields of trade and investment.

The talks touched on the combat against coronavirus pandemic and the best practices to strengthen the healthcare system, as well as cooperation in education, food security, information technology, artificial intelligence and cybersecurity, he revealed.

On the GCC-UK talks, he said the talks fall in the framework of the strategic dialogue between both sides. He added that the meeting with Secretary Liz Truss also tackled issues related to the Gulf region with a view to coordinating the stances and efforts of both sides.
