King of Bahrain holds talks with Jordanian counterpart

Manama (UNA-OIC) – King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain held talks with King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein of Jordan, at the Al-Sakhir Palace on Monday.

Both monarchs expressed satisfaction with the level of joint trade exchange, as well as with the advanced level reached by the economic and commercial relations between the two countries. They also affirmed the solidarity and joint efforts of the two countries in fighting terrorism and safeguarding security and stability.

The monarchs underlined the importance of enhancing cooperation between Bahrain and Jordan in combating the COVID-19 pandemic and curbing its spread.

They further discussed the latest regional and international developments, stressing the importance of coordination between the two countries vis-à-vis them. In this regard, the two leaders stressed the need for intensifying efforts to reach a just solution to the Palestinian cause.

While discussing the latest Syrian developments, King Abdullah affirmed Jordan’s support for the efforts to preserve the sovereignty, stability, territorial integrity and unity of Syria.

Meanwhile, King Hamad commended the efforts of the Jordanian monarch in supporting Arab issues, especially the Palestinian cause, as Jordan is the legal guardian of the holy sites in Jerusalem.
