Manama (UNA-OIC) – King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain, the President of the current session of the GCC Supreme Council, received at Safriyah Palace on Monday GCC Secretary-General Dr. Nayef Falah Mubarak Al Hajraf, on the occasion of his visit to the Kingdom.
Al Hajraf presented the King with a report on the march of the GCC Secretariat General and its efforts to promote the joint work of the Gulf of Cooperation.
King Hamad welcomed the GCC Secretary-General and reviewed with him GCC issues. He praised the ongoing efforts of the Secretary-General and all affiliates of the Secretariat General to boost cooperation and integration between the member states.
The Bahraini monarch also commended the pioneering achievements of the GCC since its establishment and its active contribution to fostering regional and international security, stability, and peace. He affirmed Bahrain’s keenness to promote the organization and consolidate cooperation between the GCC countries to achieve the desired goals.
On his part, the GCC Secretary-General expressed thanks and gratitude to the King for the gracious welcome and directives to promote the GCC march. He also commended Bahrain’s presidency of the current GCC session as well as the achievements aimed at serving the interests of the GCC member states, wishing the Kingdom of Bahrain more growth and prosperity.
