Jeddah (UNA-OIC) – President of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Dr. Bandar Hajjar met here on Wednesday with Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Shaheen Abdullayev.
During the meeting, they explored prospects for cooperation and agreed on holding a joint meeting between IsDB and relevant government agencies to discuss support to further Azerbaijan’s economic growth and investment plans.
Separately, IsDB President Hajjar also met on Wednesday with Chargé d’Affairs at the Iraqi Consulate in Jeddah Ms. Ban Hikmat Khalifa, where they discussed the IsDB Group Strategic Preparedness and Response Program for the COVID-19 Pandemic
“We are fully ready to provide the necessary support to Iraq in facing the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Hajjar, stressing the bank’s readiness to enable Iraq to provide vaccines against the virus.
