Baghdad (UNA-OIC) – Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein discussed on Wednesday with his Pakistani counterpart Shah Mahmood Qureshi, in Islamabad, the strengthening of relations between the two countries.
In a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), Foreign Ministry spokesman Ahmed Al-Sahaf said: “Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein met his Pakistani counterpart Shah Makhdoom Mahmood Qureshi in Islamabad.”
He added that “the two sides discussed ways to strengthen and develop bilateral relations between the two countries on issues of common interest”.
Associated Press of Pakistan (APP) reported that the two foreign ministers, who earlier led delegation-level talks, focused on bilateral and regional consultations on trade, energy, religious tourism, defense cooperation, human resource, employment and consular matters.
