Reza Beiranvand gained the gold medals for lifting 167kg in the snatch, 194kg in the clean and jerk, and for a total of 361kg in the Men’s 96kg.
The silver and bronze medals in the snatch went to Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan respectively.
Earlier, Mostafa Javadi lifted 163kg in the snatch and 201kg in the clean and jerk to win the gold in the Men’s 81kg for a total of 364kg.
More than 6,000 athletes have descended on Turkey’s Konya to compete in the fifth edition of the Games that opened on Tuesday (August 9) and are due to finish on August 18.
Iran’s sports caravan attended this round of competitions with 240 athletes in 16 courses.
