IMCTC holds presentation on ‘Indicators of Violent Extremism’

Riyadh (UNA-OIC) – The Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition (IMCTC) held a presentation entitled “Indicators of Violent Extremism” on Monday, at its headquarters in Riyadh.

The presentation was delivered by Dr. Abdulrahman bin Mohammad Asiri, under the patronage of Acting IMCTC Secretary-General and in the presence of IMCTC member countries’ delegates and IMCTC personnel.

During the presentation, Dr. Asiri highlighted the main indicators identified by scholarly studies and researches through analyzing thousands of cases and reports of those involved in terrorist cases. He, furthermore, pointed out that there are scholarly measures against which extremist’s tendency to violence and joining terrorist groups as well as mechanisms of progression and polarization are measured.

It is noteworthy that the presentation comes as a part of the series of presentations, symposia and workshops organized by IMCTC for IMCTC member countries’ delegates, in cooperation with scholarly, intellectual, military and media competencies from various entities.
