IMCTC holds presentation on 'Importance of Internal Audit'

Riyadh (UNA-OIC) – The Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition (IMCTC) held, on Sunday at its headquarters in Riyadh, a presentation entitled “The Importance of Internal Audit” presented by Professor of Accounting at King Khalid University Dr. Mohammed Al-Abbas.

The presentation was held in the presence of Acting IMCTC Secretary-General Maj. Gen. Mohammed bin Saeed Al-Moghedi, and IMCTC personnel.

During the lecture, Dr. Al-Abbas addressed the active role played by internal audit in institutions, as it is a true partner assisting the administration departments with the prominent role it offers to correct the path, build trust and overcome gaps. He stated that the internal audit helps administration departments to achieve their missions, improve their work and establish the principles of quality.

Dr. Al Abbas indicated that the internal audit mainly seeks guidance and reform in order to uncover errors and impose accountability. He called on everyone to cooperate with the internal audit department to achieve its goal.

It is noteworthy that the presentation comes as a part of the series of symposia, presentations and roundtable discussions organized by IMCTC in the Counter-Terrorist Financing Domain, which is one of IMCTC’s four domains of action (i.e. Ideology, Communications, Counter-Terrorist Financing and Military).
