Prime Minister Abdalla Hamdok receives Boeing Company delegation (SUNA)
Khartoum (UNA-OIC) – Sudanese Prime Minister Dr. Abdalla Hamdok, directed Sudan Airways to forge an effective partnership with the Boeing Company, America’s giant manufacturing exporter, so that the national carrier can restore its leading position among the Middle Eastern and African airlines.
Hamdok made the statements during his meeting here on Monday with a delegation from the Boeing Company, in the presence of Sudanese Minister of Infrastructures and Transport Eng. Hashim Ibnauf, and US Chargé d’Affaires Brian Shukan.
Ibnauf described the visit of Boeing Company’s delegation as a practical reflection of Sudan’s removal from the US list of state sponsors of terrorism. He stated that the meeting discussed the future of the relationship between Boeing and Sudan Airways, as well as the various investment opportunities for the American aircraft maker in Sudan.
Meanwhile, General Director of Sudan Airways Eng. Yasser Timo said the company has developed a plan to review work with Boeing to benefit from past experiences and open new horizons for the nature of work between the two parties, especially in the fields of modernization and promotion of various air and ground operations of Sudan’s national carrier.
