The Digital Transformation Unit at the Presidency has provided a digital services guide that explains how to benefit from digital services by pressing the digital service button directly or using the barcode scanner.

Director of the Presidency’s Artificial Intelligence Office Eng. Sinan Al-Turkistani explained that the Presidency made it easier for pilgrims to buy tickets and book electric and non-electric cars using their smartphones through “Tanaqul” application, to perform Tawaf and Sa’y inside the Grand Mosque.

The Artificial Intelligence Office also launched the “Al-Haramain” application, which enables the users to watch the Friday sermon and the daily broadcast of prayers via live broadcast, in more than one international language, and to know the rituals and rules of visiting the Grand Mosques in an easy and concise manner that facilitates navigation in its contents.

The General Presidency launched many other new digital services to help Hajj and Umrah pilgrims as well as visitors of the Two Holy Mosques to perform their rituals in ease and tranquility while maintaining physical distancing to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Al-Turkistani stated that the presidency has kept pace with the Kingdom’s trend toward technical and digital development and its interest in AI technology by introducing an office specialized in data and artificial intelligence, which carries out data handling policies, studies, ideas and initiatives for the use of AI in the Two Holy Mosques.

He added that the office is keen to develop qualitative initiatives aimed at improving the experience of pilgrims while performing their rituals by studying and taking advantage of techniques for identifying languages by sound, image and heat.
