Cairo (UNA-OIC) – Egypt has signed a deal with France to purchase 30 French Rafale fighter jets, a statement by the Egyptian Armed Forces read on Tuesday.
The deal, signed between the Egyptian Armed Forces and the French Dassault Aviation company, aims to develop Egypt’s capabilities, the statement said, adding that the contract will be financed via a financing loan of a minimum duration of 10 years.
In 2015, Egypt and France reached a deal to provide the Egyptian Air Force with 24 Rafale aircraft, which are characterized by high combat capabilities, advanced multiple armament systems, as well as the capability to carry out long-range missions.
