Riyadh (UNA-OIC) – President of the Human Rights Commission (HRC) Dr. Awwad bin Saleh Al-Awwad described contempt of religions and beliefs, and insulting of religious symbols as an explicit invitation to religious hatred that international human rights law has prohibited.
Al-Awwad stated that freedom of opinion and expression should promote tolerance and coexistence among societies within the framework of the integration and interdependence of human rights and their indivisibility.
