Cairo to host 31st International Conference of Islamic Affairs Supreme Council

Cairo (UNA-OIC) – The Egyptian capital, Cairo, will host on March 13-14 the 31st International Conference of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, to be organized by the Ministry of Endowments, under the theme “Interfaith and Intercultural Dialogue”.

Egyptian Minister of Endowments Dr. Mohamed Mukhtar Gumaa stated that the conference will see the participation of more than 35 countries, and discuss over 30 research papers, with the aim of consolidating interreligious and intercultural dialogue.

He highlighted that dialogue requires giving great attention to different languages, that is why the ministry was keen to translate endowment publications into foreign languages and send imams of languages to foreign countries to spread true religion.

The conference will discuss a number of important topics, chiefly the concept of dialogue and its objectives; dialogue and privacy of the other; the impact of constructive dialogue on combating terrorism and making human peace; and factors for dialogue success.
