Brazil reports another 614 deaths, 23,284 new cases of COVID-19

The Health Ministry’s daily report shows that 614 deaths and another 23,284 people infected with the novel coronavirus were registered from Sunday (Jul. 26) to Monday (27). There are also 3,833 deaths under investigation.

Altogether, Brazil reached 87,618 deaths and 2,442,375 people infected notified since the beginning of the pandemic. At least 1,667,667 patients have recovered. There are also 687,090 patients being observed.

On Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays, the daily counts tends to be lower due to the difficulties in updating the data bases on the part of state and municipal secretariats. On Tuesday, tallies are usually higher because the accumulated unreported cases are sent in.
