Jeddah (UNA-OIC) – Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Dr. Yousef bin Ahmed Al-Othaimeen received on Monday Ambassador Hissein Brahim Taha, the elected Secretary-General of the OIC, and his accompanying delegation.
Taha’s reception at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah was also attended by senior officials of the OIC General Secretariat.
The Chadian diplomat, who briefly served as the Minister of Foreign Affairs in 2017, was unanimously elected as the new OIC chief for a five-year term, during the 47th Session of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers held in Niger’s capital Niamey on 27-28 November 2020.
