Syrdarya regional khokimiyat hosted a meeting with ADB representatives, who arrived in Gulistan.
First Deputy Khokim of the region A. Karimov informed about the construction carried out to eliminate the consequences of the accident at Sardoba Reservoir.
ADB Country Director for Uzbekistan, Cynthia Malvicini, noted that the ADB delegation is visiting the region to assess, study the infrastructure of the territory affected by the emergency at Sardoba Reservoir and conduct negotiations.
The parties discussed issues of education, healthcare, housing, water supply and sanitation, as well as energy, telecommunications and tourism, agriculture, industry and road infrastructure.
Delegation members visited flood-affected areas and became familiar with the state of infrastructure.
