Acting Saudi Minister of Media calls for unified Arab position towards Palestine

Cairo (UNA-OIC) – Acting Saudi Minister of Media Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi called for unifying the Arab position and creating a unified Arab vision and strategy towards the current events, whether political, regarding Palestine or related to addressing the COVID-19 pandemic and facing its repercussions, in light of media and technical developments and the acceleration of global events.

In a statement at the conclusion of the 51st session of the Council of Arab Information Ministers, held here on Wednesday, Dr. Al-Qasabi stressed the importance of preparing a unified Arab vision and strategy to meet the challenges of digital media. He noted that the Council of Arab Information Ministers saw the necessity of preparing a unified paper and adopting a unified Arab position to deal with these files.

The acting media minister elaborated that the Kingdom proposed preparing a unified strategy to confront crises such as the coronavirus pandemic, as well as dealing with crises in general. He added that Saudi Arabia also proposed that the Executive Office of the Council of Arab Information Ministers include Egypt, the host country of the Arab League, and Palestine, as permanent members of the council. This proposal was welcomed by the Ministers of Information.
